I sat next to Jan in Fourth grade at Sierra Madre School in Mrs Seral's class. She would always have a smile and say hello. She was a wonderfully pleasant person to be around. Through Wilson and PHS she would always make it a point to say hi as she we would pass in the hall. She was a friend and my thoughts go out to her family.
Jan was my closest friend from preschool to her passing in 1980. Her mother was our Camp Fire Girl Leader, her father Mr. Bowman was my 5th grade teacher, I was maid of honor at her wedding. Our ties ran deep and I'll never stop missing her.
