I wasn’t very social in high school. As I get older I value the friendship of people past and present who have contributed to who I have become. When we were young we had no clue on life and what was important and dealt mainly in foolishness. We wasted time on ourselves and didn’t invest in others or long lasting relationships. Why is it so hard to stay in contact. Today I am well with good heath and enjoying retirement in Spencer Iowa. I have accomplished very little over the years but have great hope for the future. We have all become “old” but I am enjoying it. Priorities have certainly changed, possessions are no longer important but peace, joy and happiness now seem to be my goals. The world has gone crazy and turned upside down. What was wrong is now right and what was right is now wrong. We have all learned so much or the years. I have found that life is a game. Learn the rules and play each day. Not to win but to contribute and receive the rewards that come from caring, helping and giving. I have very little to show for myself but have become a good friend to anyone who is interested. I have many passions and love to share them with anyone who cares. A good conversation with words of encouragement, intimacy and sharing secrets sounds like fun to me.
