Hi Donna, Remember me ? Sounds like you’ve had a nice, productive, successful, adventurous life. Congratulations! I’ve been up in Portland since 72, after pretending to go to PCC for a term. Greg Roberts and I came up to visit Bill Stiles, put a couple kayaks in the river and floated up to Portland and never looked back. Still very close to both, all up here in the great NW. You can see on my profile, been married 43 years, two daughters, 3 grandchildren
Unfortunately we are currently in a family tragedy as our darling granddaughter, #2, has been battling brain cancer for about 20 months. She’s 2.5 now, went through 8 mos of chemo and 3 mos of radiation. She. Was well for 6 mos and we thought she had it beat but last month it came back. Now its untreatable and just a matter of time, days, maybe weeks. Very sad and unfair. Sorry to unload here but…..
Hope you continue to have a nice life. Our other two grandchildren are a delight as are our daughters and their husbands. I’m hoping to make the reunion but won’t know until we get closer. Take care, stay safe and healthy. Regards, Gary L

Hi Y'all, With all the reunion activity going on recently, I thought I'd post an update for myself. Good to hear so many are planning to make the reunion, Thx again to Rita for all your efforts in that regard. At the moment I am planning to make it but it is quite a ways off yet so, we'll hope for the best.
I don't really remember when I posted something last in the way of an update so excuse me if I repeat or backtrack a little: As I likely mentioned, I retired in 2015 from the firm I had been with for 35 years or so, then I did some freelance or PI work for the next few years until the day I hit 65. I shut everything down, claimed my Social security and got in the hot tub, been there since. Judy, my wife of 43 years now, has also been retired since 2008, after 25 years at the Red Cross as an RN in the blood banking side of things. Our two daughters are both married, living and working here in Portland. They both seem to have good careers going, one is essentially a cartographer, actually a GIS Specialist, for a Hydraulic engineering firm and the other is and Exec Asst in the health care business They both married two guys who were best friends and grew up in eastern Oregon, Briana (older) met her husband at Nicole's (younger) wedding when both were brides maid and best man and thus walked the aisle together. Three years later they walked their own aisle together. We now have three grandkids, Nicole has Felix, 6, and Zoe, 1.5 and Briana has Lily, 2.2.
Now the story gets a little more dramatic. When Lily was 15 months, roughly a year ago, her new day care provider noticed she wasn't walking and would get upset when trying. She also started to loose motor skills on her left side. After a regular "well" Dr's appt, she was referred to a neurologist who noted same and scheduled an MRI. That was a Friday, she declined noticeably over the weekend and luckily that same Neurologist and told them to bring her in right away for the MRI To make a long story short, they found a large brain tumor and diagnosed her with a rare and extremely aggressive brain cancer. A week later she underwent an 18 hour brain surgery, which was very successful, followed by 6 month of aggressive chemo therapy and then 3 months or radiation. Her odds were very bad and they really didn't expect the chemo or the radiation to be effective but, MIRACOUSLY, after her 3rd round of chemo the tumor was COMPLETELY GONE (they actually removed 95% of the tumor with the surgery but the last 5% was the most difficult and threatening) The entire team of Dr's were amazed, there are so few case of this type of cancer, Lily will literally be in the textbooks going forward. Needless to say, it has been a very scary and stressful year but Briana and Kelley (husband) have been amazing and Lily has come through like a champ. She is now thriving and growing and acting like any 2 year old. She's still not quite walking but she will be soon. So, now things are getting back to normal and all is generally well. She'll be monitored for the next several years but everything looks good so far. Our other two grandkids are also doing great, Felix just started K school and Zoe is in pre school daycare.
Otherwise, Judy and I are just doing house projects, traveling, lounging or loafing around here. I still play music with our "band", "The Swing'n Johnsons" which occasionally includes Dan Chisler on sax and rarely Greg Roberts on guitar. I am still very close with Dr. Bill Stiles, Greg R., Stu Flint and, even Mike Straw, who is out in eastern Oregon. I'm still a big soccer fan (World Cup starts in a couple days) and watch a lot of matches or football games. Have to get in the hot tub and hammock almost every day. WE recently took a cruise down the Mississippi River on a very cool, big, stern wheeler (see photo) with Bill Stiles and his wife Cathy. A great trip, from Memphis to New Orleans, We actually ran into Corrie Morales in New Orleans for a brief visit. I think that should do it for now Hope to see you all at the reunion

We are good up here in the great northwest. Went on a Mississippi River trip, on a big stern wheeler, with Bill and Cathy Stiles last Spring. Great trip !!! Greg is about 3-4 hours north of us.
